Hypnobirthing Classes

What is Hypnobirthing?

All around the world, there are many established antenatal education philosophies that help families prepare for birth. Hypnobirthing is one of them.
Hypnobirthing is one of the birth methods you can use for a calmer, fearless and joyful birth. Through deep relaxation, special breathing techniques and guided visualisation, Hypnobirthing opens the door to a more conscious and aware birth by teaching you and your partner to let your body do what it knows during birth.

Marie F. Mongan, founder of the HypnoBirthing Institute, carried out her first birth practice with her own daughter after obtaining her hypnotherapy certification in 1987. In 1990, while her daughter Maura was giving birth to her son Kyle, to the astonishment of the health staff attending, she focused only on herself and her baby throughout the birth and felt no pain at all.

Marie Mongan concentrated her work on this subject and developed the Mongan Method, which is becoming increasingly widespread around the world today, opening the door to a calmer and more conscious birth for women. The Hypnobirthing Institute, still based in America, regularly runs courses and trains those who want to receive antenatal education.
Hypnobirthing is a philosophy rather than a technique, one that believes birth is a normal, natural and healthy process. Like every living creature in nature, a woman’s body instinctively knows how to give birth.

Hypnobirthing helps our women recognise the strength they already have for a stronger, more active and joyful birth.
Hypnobirthing mothers learn to respect their bodies and listen to them.
They trust that their bodies and their babies will work in harmony.
They respect birth the way women have done for thousands of years. In this way, they experience a more comfortable, shorter and more satisfying birth.
Doula Özge received her internationally recognised Hypnobirthing certification from the Hypno Birth Institute in 2014, and has since been training couples and working actively as a doula in hypnobirthing.
